PICTURES: Limerick fans cheer hurlers to thrilling Munster championship win over Cork

LIMERICK senior hurlers have secured their place in the All-Ireland series and have taken a giant step towards qualifying for another Munster final after securing a hugely impressive 3-26 to 1-16 Munster senior hurling championship round robin victory over Cork at the TÚS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday.

An attendance of 42,477 flocked to the Ennis Road venue to watch the latest meeting of the Munster rivals.

A powerful first half display helped propel Limerick to a convincing 16-point success. John Kiely's Limerick side will complete their round robin fixtures against Clare back at the TÚS Gaelic Grounds on Sunday next, 4pm.
