CLUBS around Limerick have been finalising their management teams ahead of the 2025 season.
Derek McGrath is set to continue as manager of the Doon senior hurling team. McGrath guided the East Limerick club to their first ever senior hurling championship title in 2024.
Shane O'Neill is heading into his third year in-a-row in charge of Na Piarsaigh. O'Neill will be assisted by Tomás Downes, Micheál Lynch and Peter Sheehan.
James Hickey has replaced Peter Queally as Kilmallock senior hurling manager. Hickey was part of Queally's management team last year.
Ciaran Carey has stepped down as Patrickswell senior hurling boss. Declan O'Grady has been announced as the new manager of the ‘Well. O'Grady has previously been involved with Patrickswell as a selector in 2019.
John Meskell continues his role as Ahane senior hurling manager. Meskell will be hoping Ahane can reach the knockout stages after the Lisnagry based club narrowly missed out on a place in the knockout stages last year.
Former Galway senior hurling selector Kevin Lally has been appointed as the new Ballybrown senior hurling manager.
Lally worked as a selector under Henry Shefflin with the Galway senior hurling team from 2022 until 2024. The Galway native replaces Christy Keyes as manager of the city club.
Doon, Na Piarsaigh, Patrickswell, Kilmallock, Ahane and Ballybrown all compete in Group One of the Senior Hurling Championship.
Kildimo-Pallakenry have appointed a new manager ahead of this season.Declan Nash takes over from Natal O'Grady. Nash led the University of Limerick to an Ashbourne Cup title last weekend.
Tipperary native Eoin Brislane is now entering into his fourth year in charge of Monaleen.
Derry McMahon, who guided Newcastle West to the premier intermediate hurling championship last year, remains in charge of ‘the Magpies’. McMahon's side have gained promotion into Group Two of the SHC.
Dromin-Athlacca retained their senior status last year. Mike Moynihan has been reappointed as manager of the Dromin Athlacca side.
Mungret St Paul's suffered relegation from Group One of the SHC in 2024. Former Limerick hurler Brian Begley continues his role as manager of the city-based club.
Former Limerick hurler Mark Foley takes over his native club Adare. Foley replaces Louis Mulqueen as manager of the Adare senior hurling team.
Kildimo-Pallaksenry, Monaleen, Newcastle West, Dromin-Athlacca, Mungret St Paul's and Adare are all in Group Two of the Senior Hurling Championship.
