LIMERICK corner back Barry Murphy has been nominated for GAA.ie Hurler of the Week award.

Barry Murphy produced an inspirational performance in Limerick's victory over Tipperary where he was awarded man of the match. Murphy has previously lined out in attack and midfield for the Shannonsiders. The Doon native lined out in the number six role on his club's run to their first ever senior hurling championship in 2024.

John Kiely has picked Barry Murphy at corner back in Limerick's opening two games against Cork and Tipperary and the east Limerick man has performed excellently.

Anthony Burns of Galway and Killian Sampson of Offaly have also been nominated for Hurler of the week.

The voting process is simple: like their image on the GAA's official Instagram page.

Voting will close at 10am on Tuesday, February 11, and the winner will be announced on GAA.ie.
