Seven Limerick stars named on GAA.ie Hurling Team of the last 25 years

SEVEN Limerick stars have been named on the GAA.ie Hurling Team of the Last 25 Years.

Nickie Quaid, Sean Finn, Declan Hannon, Cian Lynch, Barry Nash, Gearoid Hegarty and Aaron Gillane have all been included on the team. 

Quaid has been chosen as goalkeeper in the team. The Effin clubman has brought the standard of goalkeeping to new levels in the last decade. 

Sean Finn lines out at number two. Finn has brought ferecious intensity to the Limerick defence. Limerick captain Declan Hannon has been picked in the number six position, a role the Adare clubman has looked comfortable and assured in the Limerick jersey. 

Patrickswell's Cian Lynch who has produced moments of brilliance in the last decade has been selected in midfield. Lynch is one of the most skillful hurlers in the game. 

Barry Nash, Gearoid Hegarty and Aaron Gillane have been named on the bench.

SUBS: Brendan Cummins (Tipperary), Barry Nash (Limerick), Ollie Canning (Galway), Daithi Burke (Galway), Ken McGrath (Waterford), Sean Óg Ó hAilpín (Cork), Michael Fennelly (Kilkenny), Lee Chin (Wexford), Gearoid Hegarty (Limerick), Richie Hogan (Kilkenny) and Aaron Gillane (Limerick).
