THE Woodlands House Hotel County junior championship gets underway this weekend with the Premier A championship kicking off this Thursday evening. In group one of the campaign Caherline take on AK Desmonds in Pairc de Paor, Rathbane at 7:15pm and Dromcollogher Broadford face Tournafulla in Quaid Park, Coolyroe at 7:30pm.
The final fixture in the opening round of the Premier A group one competition takes place on Saturday at 6:30pm in Newcastle West when Monagea play against Feenagh Kilmeedy.
Elsewhere in group two of the Premier A championship Knockaderry play Kilteely Dromkeen in Mungret at 4:45pm, Old Christians take on St Patrick's at 5pm in Claughaun and Crecora Manister face Doon in Caherconlish at 5pm, with all three fixtures taking place on Saturday.
In the Woodlands House Hotel County Junior A Hurling Championship group one all three fixtures take place on Sunday with Ballybricken Bohermore facing off against Blackrock in Staker Wallace GAA at 1pm, Rathkeale take on Garryspillane in Croom also at 1pm and Castletown Ballyagran play Patrickswell in Staker Wallace at 4pm.
Fixtures in group two of the junior A competition take place across the weekend with the first of them taking place on Friday evening when Killeedy play against Claughaun at 6:45pm in Ballingarry. The other two fixtures take place on Sunday with Bruff facing off against Ahane at midday in Cappamore and Templeglantine playing Monaleen at 2pm in Feenagh.
