TUS MIDWEST are looking to join UL and Mary Immaculate in the Fitzgibbon Cup quarter-finals when they welcome ATU Galway to Moylish this evening.

A win or draw for Jimmy Browne's side will see them progress to face Mary I in the last eight of the competition. Both TUS and ATU Galway were well beaten by UL in the group stage. However, a scoring difference of one-point after those losses will see a draw being enough for TUS to progress.

TUS lost by 19 points in that game against UL but should face a more even game against their Galway opponents. Tipperary's Kyle Shelly was their scorer in chief in that UL defeat and there was Limerick representation on their team with Darragh Casey (Granagh-Ballingarry), Sean Murnane (Bruff), Michael Ryan (Murroe-Boher) and Paddy Morrissey (Ahane) playing some part.

The game in Moylish this evening has a 6.30pm throw-in with quarter-finals scheduled to take place next week.
