LIMERICK will have home advantage for the 2023 Munster Senior Hurling Championship final with Clare after Munster GAA confirmed the TUS Gaelic Grounds as the venue for the game.
Cork's Páirc Uí Chaoimh and Semple Stadium were the favorites to play host to the marquee fixture but the game has now been fixed for the Ennis Road venue. The game takes place on Sunday, June 11 at 1.45pm.
Limerick and Clare have met seven previous times in the Munster SHC final with the Treaty winning six times, while Clare's only victory came in 1995. Limerick have won in 1918, 1955, 1974, 1981, 1994 and last year.
The rival counties have met in the Munster decider once before at the TUS Gaelic Grounds, in 1955, when Liam Ryan captained Limerick to a 2-15 to 2-6 victory.
