STUDENTS attending one Limerick school have been busy leading up their Christmas holidays raising funds for a number of charity in their local community.
The Student Council at Scoil Mhuire agus Ide, Newcastle West organised a festive jumper day last Friday in aid of the local Lions Club - a total of €655 was raised and the money will go towards helping families in need in the local community.
Separately, a variety of items have been donated to the St. Vincent de Paul in Newcastle West after they were donated as part of a luxury toy and treats appeal in the school on Monday.
The Student Council wishes to thank everyone who supported both initiatives.
