In Pictures: Limerick's Unity Gospel Choir to mark a decade of rejoicing with 'blockbuster' concert

UNITY Gospel Choir Limerick came out in force for the launch of their upcoming “blockbuster” concert.

The launch was held in Olio and Farina Café on Little Catherine Street in Limerick city.

Those in attendance, including Mayor Francis Foley, were treated to a rendition by members of the choir, as a little taster for the upcoming concert.

The concert will take place on Monday, January 23 at 8pm in the Augustinian Church on O’Connell Street in the city.

Special guests on the night will be Tracy Costello O’Shea, Killian Fitzgerald, brother and sister duo Sophie and August O’Shea, and jazz musician Joy O Keeffe (the Joy of Jazz).

Tickets for the show are on sale now for €20 and can be purchased by visiting eventbrite.ie.

The concert called Decade is to celebrate 10 years of the Unity Gospel Choir Limerick and the concert will be in support of the Haven Hub in Limerick.

The Haven Hub is a non-profit organisation and was set up for anyone who needs to talk when they are feeling low.

It was found that organisations which do provide these services are not often open late at night, so the Haven Hub is open for those who need somewhere to go to talk when they need some help.

“All there is to say now is to please come along on January 23 and help us celebrate ten years of amazing music,” a spokesperson for Unity Gospel Choir Limerick said.
