In Pictures: Special launch of ICO Originals at the Hunt Museum Limerick

THE IRISH Chamber Orchestra (ICO) launched a short film as part of an exhibition of originals that took place at the Hunt Museum in Limerick.

The Irish Chamber Orchestra delved headlong into the world of film when faced with the challenges of Covid-19 and how to present the orchestra to audiences while continuing to provide work to its musicians and to other artists in difficult times.

ICO ORIGINALS is a showcase of twelve very diverse short films, showcasing 24 artforms with over 40 collaborators, in four distinct spaces at The Hunt Museum, Limerick.

“By releasing these magical cine-shorts from a single screen and setting them here at The Hunt Museum, we and our collaborators are extending these imaginative films in both time and space,” said ICO CEO, Gerard Keenan.

The successful launch took place at the Hunt Museum on Tuesday, November 29.

To coincide with the launch, ICO introduced a short new film and its biggest collaboration to date.

Ten Years from Now is an ethereal and emotive offering by Vyvienne Long and Irish Chamber Orchestra, directed by Shane Serrano.

Take a look at some of the pictures from the launch.
