Sinead told the Limerick Leader that they have lived in the estate for four years and have never had any trouble.
"Simon came home about 12:30 last night and it was there. Then when we woke up at 7am it was gone.
"It is such a safe estate. The guards said no car has ever been stolen from here before.
"They are checking CCTV in the estate and some of the houses here have cameras as well".
The classically trained award-winning soprano said there was a buggy and car seat in the car when it was taken which was "not ideal" coming up to Christmas.
The car registration number is 181-D-17656. Anyone with information is asked to contact gardai.
