Aer Lingus staff axe opposed by Limerick councillors

LIMERICK council’s metropolitan members have decided to formally oppose Aer Lingus’s move to lay off staff at Shannon Airport.

Workers at our local airport have been furloughed, after the flag-carrier suspended operations from Shannon. However, in a motion, Labour councillor Conor Sheehan urged Aer Lingus to keep staff.
