LIMERICK senator Kieran O’Donnell has welcomed a technology investment that has benefited 16 public libraries.
Last July funding of more than €8 million was approved to invest in technology for libraries around the country.
Since then over €275,000 has been invested Information Communication Technology (ICT) upgrades for 16 public libraries in Limerick.
“The new technology and facilities will enhance public libraries in Limerick and the new innovative services they provide,” Senator O’Donnell said.
”Our libraries are about much more than borrowing books,” he added. “Increasingly, they serve as community hubs and as somewhere where people can learn and develop digital skills.”
