A HORSE has died having suffered severe injuries after being "impaled in a fence" this Tuesday, Limerick Animal Welfare (Law) has said.
Law was called to the scene this Tuesday at 8.30am to "attend this poor horse impaled in a fence".
"Sadly this horse had been struggling for many hours before being reported to Limerick Animal Welfare. Limerick Animal Welfare called out a vet to give veterinary care immediately.
Sadly his injuries were so severe he could not be saved."
Law said that it has been "continuously" called to attend and provide veterinary care to horses in distress this week.
It has warned on its Facebook post that images of the horse are graphic.
