Gardaí stopped a Limerick motorist this Thursday who was travelling at almost 170 km/h
A LIMERICK motorist was caught driving through a residential area at 170 km/h this Thursday, more than three times the speed limit.
Gardaí detected a motorist travelling at 168 km/h on St Nessan’s Road, Raheen, where the speed limit is 50 km/h.

The motorist could now be facing possible prosecution.
A number of vehicles were detected speeding in Limerick this Thursday as part of a Garda operation on the National Motorway network.
Three separate motorists were detected driving at more than 150 km/h, with one travelling at 164 km/h.
