MORE than €56,000 was raised for a number of local charities during Limerick’s Live 95FM’s 95-Stop-Tour for Limerick kids, it has been confirmed.

The three beneficiaries of the radio station’s annual fundraising event, which took place last September, were the Children’s Ark Unit at University Hospital Limerick (including the Neo-Natal Unit at the UMHL), CARI Limerick and Cliona's Foundation.

During the week-long event, various presenters and the Live 95FM shadows visited communities and organisations around the city and county who helped to raise money through a variety of initiatives including coffee mornings, bucket collections, bingo nights, fun cycles, walks, pyjama parties, living in a window, and family fun days.
