A MAN has been arrested in Limerick after gardai seized cocaine and cash worth €80,000.
As part of an ongoing operation into the sale and supply of drugs in Limerick city, gardai said they arrested a man in his late 20s and seized approximately €80,000 worth of suspected cocaine and cash following a search at a house in the Castleconnell area of Limerick on Thursday.
“Shortly after 2.30pm on December 6, Gardaí from the Roxboro Road district carried out at a search at a house in Castleconnell,” a spokesperson said.
“During the course of the search, Gardaí seized approximately €10,000 in cash and €70,000 worth of cocaine which will now be sent for analysis.
“A man in his late 20s was arrested at the scene and brought to Henry Street Garda Station. He is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996.”
