ON SUNDAY evening, All-Ireland winner Seán Finn will be at the launch of this year’s Coolruss Christmas lights for charity.
The Bruff native will be joined by Ireland South MEP Sean Kelly, who will kick off the holiday celebrations when he switches on the lights with other surprise guests in store, including Santa Claus himself.
The Bruree townland is bidding for this year’s Energia Ireland’s Most Christmassy Home, the voting for the competition kicks off on Monday, December 3 in the hopes of donating the cash prizes to selected local charities.
Over the past nine years, the festive charity has donated nearly €30,000 in the past nine years for local charities.
This year’s donations will go towards St. Joseph’s Foundation in Charleville, Pieta House Limerick and the Carebright Dementia Centre in Bruff.
All are welcome on Sunday, December 2 at 5:30pm for the launch; the lights will be on every evening from 5:30pm to 10:00pm every evening up until January 6.
