Blind Date Limerick organisers: Ciara Healy, Hannah Veronica Griffey, George Lee and Denise O'Brien who will match local couples in support of MS Ireland
THE LIMERICK College of Further Education will host an evening full of laughs, music and even love next week for their Blind Date gameshow.
LCFE events PRO, Ciara Healy, promises an entertaining evening is in store for all with raffle prizes up for grabs to raise funds for a good cause.
”Sadly you won’t find love sitting home on the couch so come down and join us,” Ms Healy encouraged.
The show will raise funds for the MS Ireland Society who work with people diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, a long-lasting disease where nerve cells of the spinal cord and brain are heavily damaged by a Myelin Sheath.
The occasion is dedicated to LCFE student Hannah Veronica Griffey, a 21-year-old mother who was diagnosed with MS last February.
Ms Griffey explained: “I struggle with fatigue, pain, pins and needles and numbness daily; it's usually manageable enough, but I do have good and bad days.
“Having a three-year-old, I just have to power through and stay positive, and it's hard to come to terms with because I'm so young, and I do struggle sometimes, but I just have to remind myself that I have MS, MS doesn't have me,” Ms Griffey added.
Blind Date Limerick, takes place at a new venue, The Black Rabbit, Carr Street on Monday, December 3. Attendance is free, donations and raffle ticket purchases are more than welcome, and participation fee for the Blind Date is €10.
