GARDAI in Limerick have arrested two people following a burglary at a pub in the city centre.
Gardai from Henry Street arrested a man and woman, aged in their 30s and 20s, following a burglary at a pub on Patrick Street on Thursday, understood to be the Red Hen.
Shortly after 5am, gardai received a report of a burglary that had occurred on Patrick Street. Following preliminary investigations, a man and a woman were arrested a short time later.
They were brought to Henry Street Garda Station and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.
The man in his 30s has since been charged and is due to appear before Cork City District Court this Friday morning at 10.30am, with no court sitting in Limerick today.
The woman in her 20s was released from garda custody.
A file will be prepared for the DPP.
