Gardai say break-ins to two parked cars at the weekend may be linked

GARDAI in Limerick say break-ins to two parked cars at the weekend may be linked.

Both incidents happened sometime between 10pm on Saturday and 1am on Sunday.

The first car –  a grey Mazda 2 hatchback was parked outside the owner’s house at Vartry Close, Raheen. A number of items were taken from the glove box including a sum of cash.

The second car – a silver Ford Focus hatchback – was parked outside a property at Stoneyhurst, Dooradoyle.  In this case, a Hewlett Packard laptop was stolen by the culprits.

“If you have any information on either of these crimes or if you were in either area last Saturday evening or the early hours of Sunday morning and noticed any suspicious activity, then please contact the Roxboro Road garda station,” said a garda spokesperson.
