THE National Q Mark Awards are known as the Oscars of Irish business excellence and Limerick picked up four awards  for quality management Systems.

Awards went to Bluebird Care for home care provider of the year; Roadbridge claimed the Q Mark civil engineering group title; Kirby Group Engineering for Q Mark construction services group and Ballyhoura Development in the Q Mark community development group of the year category. The ceremony took place in the Clayton Hotel, Dublin.

Pádraig Casey, CEO of Ballyhoura Development, said: “Winning a Q Mark Award is recognition of the consistent commitment  and leadership of Ballyhoura Development  to the communities, clients and funders that we work with, the hard work and dedication of  the employees and management team in achieving positive outcomes for local communities, and the voluntary input by the board of Ballyhoura Development in overseeing a comprehensive set of standards, procedures and policies to comply with public funding requirements on programme delivery.”

Ballyhoura’s nomination put them in the top 6.75% of all audits completed by the Excellence Ireland Quality Association and this win means they are at the very top of the Q for highest standards of quality and excellence.
