GARDAI are seeking to identify two burglars who broke into a fast food restaurant in the city.
Details of the incident, which happened at South Circular Road last October, were broadcast during an appeal on Crimecall on RTÉ One television on Monday night.
CCTV footage from what appears to be a storage room at the premises shows the culprits moving some lockers having broken in.
The footage shows that both are wearing balaclavas, gloves and dark clothing and one has a torch in his mouth.
While accepting the culprits were well-disguised, Garda Greg Freegrove appealed to viewers to come forward with any information they might have which might lead to the culprits being identified.
“You might recognise them from their eyes but we have had identifications on previous shows from very small details so hopefully somebody watching has information that can progress the case,” he said.
It’s not known how long the culprits were in the premises or if they escaped with anything.
Crimecall can be contacted 1800 405060 while gardai at Roxboro Road can be contacted at (061) 214340.
