Two weather warnings for Limerick as Met Éireann predicts strong winds and heavy rain

Met Éireann has issued to status yellow weather alerts for Limerick

MET Eireann has issued two weather warnings that are expected to impact Limerick over the coming days.

A low temperature warning has predicted that the temperatures will fall to -3 or -4 degrees in many areas. The national warning is valid from 5pm this Wednesday until 9am Thursday.

A seperate rainfall warning for Limerick warns that 30 to 50 mm of rain expected from Thursday evening/night into Friday.

Met Eireann says there will be a risk of flooding following heavy rainfall and the warning applies to Carlow, Kilkenny, Wexford, Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Tipperary and Waterford.

It is in effect from 6pm Thursday until 3pm on Friday.
