Limerick band Hermitage Green 'counting the days' to King John's Castle return
HERMITAGE Green will again be kings of the Castle as they return for a huge show at Limerick’s King John’s next summer, it has been announced.
The Limerick band sold out a show Live at the Castle earlier this summer and bookers Dolan’s have confirmed to the Leader this Wednesday that Hermitage Green will again play at King John’s Castle on Sunday, June 3, 2018, with tickets to go on sale this Friday.
It was also revealed recently that Bell X1 are play the Castle next year as part of their celebration of 20 years together, with the Irish rockers booked in for Sunday, May 6, the Riverfest weekend.
The gigs are both in association with Shannon Heritage and Hermitage Green’s Barry Murphy said the band would “never forget the feeling of walking out on that stage and looking up at the castle walls against a backdrop of the river Shannon and Limerick city” last year.
“King John’s Castle is an incredible venue, easily one of the finest this country has to offer and we are counting the days till next June,” he added.
Neil Dolan said Dolan’s was “delighted to welcome Hermitage Green back to the Castle for what was one of the standout shows of 2017.
“The feedback from the public was for round two and I am one hundred percent sure the lads can deliver,” he added.
