Emergency services tackle caravan fire at Limerick halting site

EMERGENCY services swiftly responded to an incident in which a caravan caught fire at halting site in Limerick this Saturday night. 

Limerick Fire Service was alerted to the caravan fire at Clonlong halting site, in Southill, at 6.45pm. 

Three units were dispatched to the scene and were able to tackle the flames before it possibly spread, and returned to the Mulgrave Street base at 7.43pm. 

It is not known what caused the fire. 

It is understood that no one sustained any serious injuries during the incident.
