Deaths in Limerick - November 22, 2017

The death has occurred of Patrick (Pat) Martin, Tieraclea, Tarbert, Co. Kerry and formerly of Marian Place, Glin, tragically following an accident.

Pat, beloved son of Anne and the late Billy, loving husband to Caroline and devoted father to James, Samantha and Nathan. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Caroline, mother Anne, sons James and Nathan, daughter Samantha, brothers Billy, Gerard and Joe, sisters Jackie, Claire and Georgina, father-in-law Gabriel, mother-in-law Patricia, uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grand-uncle, grand-aunt, cousins, relatives, extended family, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at St. Mary's Funeral Home, Tarbert on Thursday evening from 6pm until 8pm. Arriving at St. Mary's Church, Tarbert on Friday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am. Interment to follow at St. Mary's New Cemetery, Tarbert. House strictly private at all times.

The death has occurred of Josephine McMahon (née O'Mahony), 21 Kilmurry Ave., Garryowen, peacefully at St John’s Hospital, after a short illness. 

Beloved wife of the late Paddy. Dearly loved mother of Marian, Eugene, Ita, Kieran, Aidan, Niall, Colm and the late Patrick. Sadly missed by her loving sister Evelyn, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, great grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street on Thursday evening from 5.30pm to 7pm followed by removal to St John’s Cathedral. Requiem Mass on Friday at 11am followed by cremation on Saturday at Shannon Cremation at 11am.

The death has occurred of Dorothy O'Shaughnessy (née O'Dwyer), Ballygrennan Close & late of Rossa Villas, Limerick City, peacefully at Milford Hospice. 

Much loved mother of Richard, Colin, Marguerite, Dorothy & Catherine. Deeply regretted by her loving family, grandchildren, sisters, brothers, daughters-in-law, sons-in-law, nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home, Gerald Griffin Street, Friday from 5.30pm to 7pm. Removal to arrive on Saturday for 10am Requiem Mass in St. John's Cathedral followed by Cremation in Shannon Crematorium.

The death has occurred of Fr. Patrick (Pat) Reynolds, C.Ss.R., Ballyfermot, Dublin and formerly Mungret and the Philippines, in the care of the staff of Our Lady’s Hospice Harold’s Cross. 

Predeceased by his brother Fr. Gerry C.Ss.R. and deeply missed by his brother Michael (Mungret), sister Noreen (England), sister-in-law Kathleen, nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, relatives and many friends in Ireland and the Philippines and his Redemptorist Confreres.

Reposing in the Church of the Most Holy Sacrament, Cherry Orchard, Ballyfermot from 3 to 6.45pm on Thursday followed by a celebration of the Eucharist at 7pm and removal immediately afterwards to Mount St. Alphonsus Church, Limerick. His Funeral Mass will take place at 12 noon on Friday followed by burial in the Redemptorist Community Plot in Castlemungret Cemetery.

The death has occurred of Michael MacMahon, Clanmorris Avenue, Ennis Road and late of Warwick, UK, peacefully at Athlunkard House Nursing Home, Westbury.

Dearly loved partner of Jerri. Loving father of Clare and Robert and granddad to Leo and Ben. Sadly missed by his relatives, friends and the Traynor family.

Removal to Our Lady of the Rosary Church, Ennis Road on Saturday for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by Cremation Service at Shannon Crematorium at 1pm. House private. Family flowers only.
