Pedestrian knocked down in Limerick

A WOMAN is recovering in hospital after being knocked down in Castletroy this Thursday morning.

It is understood the pedestrian was hit by a car when she was crossing the road at the Groody roundabout. The incident occurred at around 7.30am. Gardai and emergency services attended the scene.

The woman was taken by ambulance to University Hospital Limerick. Her injuries are said to be non life threatening.
