Over 130 house sales in Limerick net €17.5m

Kilcornan on the North Circular Road has come to the market for a price-tag of €1,650,000 through Sherry Fitzgerald

OVER 130 houses sold in Limerick in October, amounting to sales of nearly €17.5m.

Four properties sold for in excess of €500,000 last month.

They are The Hill, Bansha, Askeaton, for €510,000; Manju, Revington Circle, North Circular Road, for €510,000; Kylemore on the Ennis Road for €530,000; and Victoria Terrace on the South Circular Road for €675,000.

A number of mega mansions, worth in excess of €1m, have been removed from the market in Limerick. However, one new property to the market is Kilcornan on the city’s North Circular Road for €1.65m. Built in 1864 and set on 1.6 acres, it is available through Sherry Fitzgerald agents.

Ballyneale House in Ballingarry remains on the market for a reduced sum of €2m, down by €500,000 in recent times.

The seven-bed property, with four bathrooms, is offered for sale on 17 acres, with up to 37 acres available. Built in 1853, its sporting facilities include a tennis court, croquet lawn, and swimming pool.

There are now over 1,500 houses for sale in Limerick city and county, and just over 1,000 of those are priced under €300,000.

Meanwhile, there will be another public auction of apartments in the Strand on December 15 next from 11am. Four two-bed and one one-bedroom apartments will be for sale.

Earlier this month, eight apartments in the same complex sold for well over their reserves, ranging from €190,000 to over €330,000.
