Keanes Jewellers Ladies Day winners Mary O’Halloran, Dublin, Sharon Kennedy, Clareview, and Margaret Hynes Cahill, Kerry, at the Racecourse
A LIMERICK woman showed a clean pair of heels to her rivals to take the best dressed lady prize on Munster National Day at Limerick Racecourse.
Sharon Kennedy, originally from Clareview in the city but now living in Cork, won a stunning diamond pendant from sponsors Keanes Jewellers worth €4,000.
“I was absolutely thrilled to win best dressed lady especially in my home city. There was amazing style and it was such a great day. I look forward to showing off my new jewellery from Keanes Jewellers,” she said of her win.
Ms Kennedy wore a purple dress coat from Phoenix V Fashion boutique Cork and teamed it with a MARC Millinery headpiece, shoes from Penneys and a handbag from Mercury Goes Retrograde, Cork.
Kerry Garda Margaret Hynes Cahill won an afternoon style session including an outfit, headpiece and accessories sponsored by Aisling Maher Millinery and Boutique, Adare and a voucher for Serendipity Shoes, Adare and Limerick for second place.
She wore a cerise jumpsuit from Jasmine Boutique, Tralee, with a matching cape, black obi belt, black felt trilby hat, black pump shoes from LK Bennett, black leather gloves from Penneys and a vintage Burberry bag.
Mary O’Halloran, a consultant from Dublin, finished in third place and won a luxury hamper from Irish brand Inis – The Energy of the Sea. She wore a flaxen gold dress and jacket by Limerick designer Marion Murphy Cooney, a headpiece from Marie-Claire Millinery, shoes from Arnotts and accessories from Carraig Donn.
Other top ten finalists included Tasha O’Connor, Templeglantine, Hannah Crosse, Tipperary, Laura Hanlon, Roscommon, Niamh Ní Chorrigáin, Galway, Faith Amond, Carlow, Emir O’Shea, Kerry and Aoife O’Hanlon, Galway.
On the day all ladies enjoyed a prosecco reception and a fashion show with Celia Holman Lee as MC and blogger Lisa McGowan of Lisa’s Lust List as judge of the competition.
