Recent deaths in Limerick

The death has occurred (peacefully at St Camillus Hospital) of Helen Hannon (nee O’ Brien of Hyde Road, Limerick. 

Beloved wife of John and dearly loved mother of Catherine, John and Olivia. Sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Debbie, grandchildren, sisters Breda and Kathleen, brother Hugh, nieces, extended family and friends.Rest in peace.

Reposing at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Thomas Street this Sunday, October 2 from 4.30pm to 6pm followed by removal to the Dominican Church. Requiem Mass on Monday at 10.30am with burial afterwards in Mt St Oliver Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Donal O’Sullivan (late 12th Infantry, Battalion, Sarsfield Barrack's, Limerick and Military Police) of Meadowbrook, Mill Road, Corbally (formerly of Pallaskenry).

Deeply missed by his loving wife Angela (nee Blake), daughters Jenny & Danielle, sister Eileen Windle, mother-in-law Esther, sister-in-law Elizabeth Hogan, nieces Charlene & Sandra, nephews Paul & Jason, the extended O'Sullivan & Blake Families, fellow work colleagues and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at Cross' Funeral Home on Sunday, October 2 from 4.30pm followed by removal at 6pm to St. Joseph's Church, O'Connell Avenue. Requiem Mass, Monday, at 11.30am followed by burial in Castlemungret Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Nancy Sheahan (née Fitzgerald) of Croaghane, Foynes.

Loving wife of the late Dan; deeply regretted by her loving daughter Anne Marie (Donovan), son-in-law Denis, grandsons Daniel and Ross, sister Teresa (Sheehy), nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Reposing at her residence on Saturday, October 1 between 4pm and 7pm. Removal on Sunday to Robertstown Church to arrive for 10.30am Requiem Mass. Burial afterwards in Robertstown Cemetery.


THE death has occurred (suddenly) of Johanna (Jo) Parker (née Carey) of Gouldavoher, Dooradoyle and late of Liverpool, UK. Sadly missed by her nephew Michael, niece Patricia, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Griffin’s Funeral Home, John’s Gate on Sunday, October 2, from 4.30pm. Removal at 5.30pm to St. Paul’s Church, Dooradoyle. Funeral on Monday after 11am Mass at Mount St. Lawrence Cemetery.


The death has occurred of Mary Noonan of Bridge Street, Croom (late of Ballyguile,Castletown and staff of St.Nessan's Hospital, Croom).

Survived by her nephews Thomas, Patrick and Bernard Martin, niece Anne, niece-in-law Eidin, nephew-in-law Jim, grandnieces Carol, Orla and Ciara, relatives, kind neighbours and her many friends.

Reposing this Saturday evening October 1 from 6pm at Daffy's Funeral Home, Croom with removal at 7 30pm to St.Mary's Church, Croom. Requiem Mass on Sunday, October 2 at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Ballingarry Cemetery.


The death has occurred (suddenly) of Thomas Martin of Ballyguile,Castletown, Kilmallock, Limerick.

Survived by his sons Thomas, Patrick and Bernard, daughter Anne, daughter-in-law Eidin, son-in-law Jim, granddaughters Carol, Orla and Ciara, relatives, kind neighbours and his many friends.

Reposing at O'Grady's Funeral Home, Ballingarry on Sunday, October 2 from 6pm with removal at 7 30pm to St.Joseph's Church, Granagh. Requiem Mass on Monday October 3rd, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.
