Emergency services attend Limerick collision

Emergency services are at the scene of the accident

Emergency services are at the scene of a multi-vehicle collision on the N21 between Adare and Patrickswell.

Two units of the Limerick Fire and Rescue Service from Rathkeale have been deployed at the scene along with ambulance personnel and gardai.

The collision happened shortly after 4pm today.

While it is not yet known if there are any injuries, a garda spokesperson confirmed the road has been closed and is likely to remain closed for several hours.

Motorists are being advised that local diversions are in place.
