BREAKING: Investigation under way after fatal house fire in Limerick city

AN INVESTIGATION is under way following a fatal house fire in Limerick city.

The fire service were alerted to the blaze in the Singland area by a member of the public at 5.22pm this Saturday evening.

Four appliances from Limerick Fire & Rescue in the city responded and it's understood the fire was well established at that stage.

"There has unfortunately been a fatality. That's all we can say at the moment," said a source.

The fire has since been brought under control.
