Castletroy College make their mark on Stripe Young Scientist competition

Limerick Castletroy Stripe Young Scientist teams

Five student teams from Castletroy College are proud to be involved in this year’s Stripe Young Scientist and Technology Exhibition, with projects ranging from renewable energy and school life to public health and biodiversity.

Speaking to the Limerick Leader, Vice Principal and TY Coordinator Lisa Kiely said: “It means a great deal to us to see Stripe sponsoring the competition this year. All three Collison brothers are past pupils and all took part in BT Young Scientist themselves, so they have a first-hand understanding of the value of participation”.

“Patrick went on to achieve major success at the exhibition, including an overall win and a runner-up placing, and they serve as a powerful role model for our current student cohort. Their sponsorship ensures that this opportunity remains there for the next generation of students and for this we are incredibly proud of the Collison brothers.”
