EVERY Child is Your Child has launched its 12 Days of Christmas Campaign to bring joy to 150 children in the International Protection Accommodation System (IPAS) in the Limerick area.

With a fundraising goal of €5,000, the campaign aims to provide each child with a gift worth €30, as chosen by the children themselves from the Smyths Toys catalogue. The 12 Days of Christmas Campaign runs until December 12 and donations can be made on https://gofund.me/26b1f764

“Our goal is simple: to show these children that they are seen, valued, and not forgotten during this special time of year,” said Donnah Vuma, Spokesperson ECIYC.

“Each child has hand-picked their gift, and we are committed to fulfilling those wishes. With the help of the community, we can make this Christmas magical for them.”

By focusing on children in Limerick and surrounding areas, the campaign complements similar initiatives happening nationwide, highlighting the growing sense of community and solidarity across Ireland since ECIYC  initiated the first nationwide toy drive in 2016. Any funds raised above the €5,000 target will go toward providing gifts for additional children in need.

“Christmas is a time for kindness, generosity, and hope,” added Ms Vuma.

“With your support, we can ensure that these children experience the joy and excitement of the season, no matter their circumstances.”
