A WAVE of excitement has swept through Kildimo, as Mace was revealed as the store that sold the €5,501,086 winning Lotto ticket.
On Wednesday, September 25, a lucky Lotto player won the jackpot of €5.5m after purchasing the ticket in Kildimo.
Store owner Carol Mulcair expressed her joy after receiving the news that her shop sold the winning ticket.
“What a lovely phone call to get! I’m absolutely delighted,” she said.
“We’ve had a couple of small wins over the years but nothing of this size! It’s great for the area and will definitely create a buzz around the place. The staff are thrilled too.
“We’re a very rural, local shop with the same people coming in every day, so I hope it’s one of them. Whoever it is, we’re absolutely delighted for them!”
The Limerick winner becomes the 7th Lotto Jackpot winner of 2024, joining the ranks of six other big winners from across the country which included another Limerick victor earlier this year.
The National Lottery has also confirmed that the Limerick winner has made contact, and arrangements are being made for them to collect their prize.
