THE latest beneficiaries of €500 gift card donations by Limerick ALDI stores have been revealed.
Three charities and community groups received donations from ALDI’s Limerick stores.
Receiving €500 ALDI gift cards are Cancer Fund for Children and Cystic Fibrosis Ireland.
For 2024, to coincide with ALDI Ireland’s 25th anniversary, the retailer has also selected 26 charities and community groups, one per county, to receive an additional support of €2,000 worth of ALDI gift cards.
In Limerick, Milford Care Centre has been chosen to receive this.

Rachel Nugent, national sustainability manager at ALDI Ireland, said: “We are delighted to continue to support local charities and community groups across the country through the ALDI Community Grants programme and to see the impact of our donation in the local communities of Limerick.
“The Community Grants programme is one example of how ALDI is committed to investing and partnering with local communities and charities across Ireland and we look forward to continuing this engagement for years to come.”
Operating three stores in Limerick, ALDI is deeply involved in the local community.
To date, the stores have donated over 63,000 meals to local charities through ALDI’s partnership with FoodCloud.
ALDI partners with six innovative Limerick food and drink producers, spending €7 million with them in 2023.
ALDI’s Community Grants programme helps fund local charities and community organisations that contribute vital work and services in their local communities.
Each local organisation supported is chosen by ALDI employees, enabling them to help the local good causes they are passionate about.
