Mairéad Cleary, from Colmanstown in Co Clare, died from cancer on June 2 at the age of 35.
In her memory, her colleagues and friends are raising funds for the Mid-Western Cancer Centre of University Hospital Limerick.
“We are hoping to raise funds for the Mid-Western Cancer Centre UHL in our beautiful colleague and friend Mairead's memory to express our sincere gratitude for their fantastic care of our dear Mairéad,” said the organiser of the fundraiser, Kayla Murtagh.

They will be completing an abseil at Thomond Park as part of the fundraiser.
“Her work family in Blackberry park will be completing an abseil at Thomond Park on 30th August 2024 with her friends and family by our side as we know that Mairéad would get great enjoyment from the prospect of us pushing ourselves outside of our comfort zones.
"We appreciate any donations and are delighted to be doing this in Mairéad’s memory!”
