Limerick City and County Council are looking for viewpoints from business owners and organisations to help identify areas that need improvement and to see what supports are needed
The night time economy in Limerick is aimed at creating a vibrant, inclusive and sustainable city and Limerick City and County Council want the public to be part of the plans by filling in two surveys.
The two-year pilot programme looks at how things like culture, entertainment, food, dining, festivals, events, sports, recreation, shopping and public facilities, all work between 6pm and 6am.
The council are looking for viewpoints from business owners and organisations to help identify areas that need improvement and to see what supports are needed.
They also want to hear from residents and the wider community about how Limerick’s night time economy can be enhanced to improve their experiences.
The surveys can be accessed online - the public survey here and the business, traders and organisations survey here.

The surveys will remain open until July 17 and as an added incentive, there will be a draw for everyone who takes part to win one of eleven prizes, ranging from overnight stays and cocktail experiences to Treaty United football club season tickets and vouchers.
Mayor of Limerick, John Moran said: “A thriving night time economy is essential for Limerick to be vibrant, dynamic and safe, a desirable place to gather and socialise beyond traditional business hours. By listening to businesses, residents and visitors, we can create an action plan that reflects the true needs and desires of the community. These surveys provide a very important opportunity for anyone with an interest in our city to have their say and to share their insights and experience.”
Night Time Economy Officer at Limerick City and County Council, Ashlene Reyburn said: “Limerick City and County Council is committed to enhancing the quality of life of everyone in the community. Working together, we can transform Limerick's night time economy into a dynamic environment that offers something for everyone, making our city an even more attractive destination. Participate in our surveys and help shape the future of Limerick.”
