The man was robbed on his way to work

A MAN was robbed on Friday, June 7, early in the morning, at 7.30am on his way to work.

He was walking along Thomas Street, when he was suddenly grabbed by a man in dark clothing who was holding a sharp object and demanded his wallet. 

An altercation between the two men followed, but the criminal got the wallet and ran away. 

Gardaí from Henry Street garda station are asking any witnesses or anyone with any information to contact them on 061 212400.
