A LIMERICK healthcare centre has been named winner of the Nursing Home/Residential Care Unit of the Year award at the Irish Healthcare Centre Awards 2024

Parnell Place Accommodation Services, a collaboration between RehabCare, the Health Service Executive, and Newgrove Housing Association were named the winners of the prestigious award.

Established in 2014, RehabCare Parnell Place Accommodation Services offers a range of housing options tailored to the individual needs of residents.

The purpose-built complex in Limerick provides residents with independent living facilities.

The fully accessible apartments feature amenities such as wet rooms, fob access, and assistive technology.

The communal gardens and nearby amenities provide opportunities for residents to engage in social activities and pursue their interests.

Gráinne Fogarty, director of RehabCare, said: “Being named Best Nursing Home/Residential Care Unit of the Year is a testament to our dedication to supporting individuals with disabilities and mental health challenges in living fulfilling lives within their community.

“At Parnell Place, we believe in empowering residents to lead independent lives while providing the necessary support to ensure their safety and well-being.

“Parnell Place remains dedicated to supporting residents in achieving greater independence and autonomy while fostering community engagement initiatives. Plans for the future include expanding housing options and providing training and capacity building to support individuals with complex needs. Congratulations to the team at RehabCare Parnell Place for this excellent achievement” concluded Ms Fogarty.
