A LIMERICK school had a special visitor as part of their Blue Star Programme.

Pat Cox the former President of the European Parliament, visited Thomond Primary School as part of the Blue Star Programme.

Fifth class students at the school have been working on projects on European countries as part of the project.

One of the criteria to fulfill the programme is to have a visit by an EU dignitary and the school were lucky to be visited by Mr Cox who assessed the projects the children have worked so hard on.
