AN ARCHAEOLOGICAL project dedicated to identifying and exploring the archaeological traces of the Irish War of Independence, in collaboration with local communities, is currently on display in Cappamore Library.
However, it only runs until this Friday, May 17, said Pat Campbell, PRO of Cappamore Historical Society.
It is then Knocklong's turn to host Landscapes of Revolution Archaeology Project.
Organisers thanked the individuals and museums whose artefacts feature in the exhibition.

Some of the fascinating exhibits and display boards include an annotated ordnance survey map from Bruff RIC barracks, Patrick Maher's last cigarette, John Lynch's Dail court register and Michael Gammell's truncheon.
This project is being undertaken by UCD School of Archaeology in collaboration with Abarta Heritage.
