Motorcycles stolen from Limerick garage

The owner locked the garage, but had no other security

Four motorcycles were stolen

FOUR motorcycles were stolen from the garage of a house in the Fr Russell Road area in Limerick on Thursday, May 2.

The man who owned them had locked the garage the night before, but awoke to find the lock on the garage door broken and four motorcycles gone.

Sergeant Ber Leetch of Henry Street garda station has this advice: “If you are buying a lock for a garage or shed you must factor in the value of the property you are protecting and then be prepared to spend ten to twenty percent of that value on security. A lock and bolt of a  good standard should be fitted and consider having the house alarm extended to the garage or shed.”
