THE ANNOUNCER on the tannoy in TUS Gaelic Grounds asked Limerick fans not to run out on the pitch more in hope than expectation shortly before the final whistle blew.
All ages rushed onto the pitch to get their jerseys and hurleys signed and take selfies with their heroes.
As always, the players posed for every picture and autographed every item with a smile, while the sweat dripped down their brows. Photographer Kieran Ryan-Benson was there to capture it all.
Limerick recorded a facile 15 point victory over Tipperary but Peter Casey's serious injury took the gloss from what would have been another perfect day on the Ennis Road.
