Gráinne Hanley is to seek election in the Cappamore - Kilmallock district
TWO NEW candidates for the upcoming local elections have been announced.
In the Cappamore - Kilmallock municipal district, Independent Ireland will run Gráinne Hanley, a legal professional and community advocate.
Ms Hanley, who lives in Kilmallock and is a solicitor, said: “Having lived in the area all of my life, I am deeply invested in the well-being of our community. I am committed to representing the interests of our constituency and fighting for a fair allocation of resources to support our local businesses, families, and farmers.”

Elsewhere, former council architect Maria Donoghue is running as an Independent candidate in City West.
The mum-of-two lives in Wolfe Tone Street and has a business at O’Connell Street in the city centre.
She hopes to use her experience to turn what she sees as the “deterioration” of the city centre around.
Election day falls on Friday, June 7.
