The Children’s Grief Centre annual ladies lunch celebrating International Women’s Day was held on Sunday, March 10 at the Strand Hotel, Limerick.

Founded in 2009 by Sister Helen Culhane, the Children’s Grief Centre provided a free support service to 357 children and young people affected by loss through death, separation, and divorce in 2023.

The centre’s service to grieving children and young people was acknowledged at the Irish HealthcareAwards last December when it was awarded Mental Health Initiative Of The Year for 2023.

Speaking at the event CEO of the Children’s Grief Centre Mairead O’Keeffe recognised the incredible generosity and kindness of all those attending and thanked them for their continued support.

"The International Women’s Day Annual Lunch is an extremely important day in our annual fundraising calendar with all funds raised being used in the continued provision of our free support service".
