GARDAÍ are investigating a burglary which took place at Neville Jewellers in Limerick’s Crescent Shopping Centre in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
According to a garda spokesperson, shortly before 3:20am on Wednesday, February 28, gardaí received a report of a burglary and criminal damage incident that occurred at a retail premises in Dooradoyle.
“A number of scenes are currently preserved for technical examination and investigations are ongoing. Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses to come forward,” the spokesperson confirmed.
It is understood that suspects damaged more than one property trying to access the jewellery store.
A spokesperson for Neville Jewellers confirmed that as of 3pm, Wednesday, they were back open for business - adding that the suspects “damaged the glass more than anything.”
