BREAKING: Emergency services respond to serious collision in Limerick

A section of the busy road has been closed to facilitate an investigation

Tipperary roads are closed following flooding

EMERGENCY services are at the scene of a serious collision in County Limerick this Tuesday evening.

A section of the N69 outside Askeaton remains closed following the one-vehicle incident.

Gardaí, the National Ambulance Service and four units of the Fire Service have responded - including two units each from Foynes and Rathkeale.

The fire service were alerted just after 7.30pm to the incident which occurred in the townland of Ballyengland Lower, around two kilometres outside Askeaton on the Limerick side of the town.

The road is expected to remain closed for a number of hours to facilitate an investigation.

There was no information available on any injuries sustained at the time of publication.
