Limerick author pens gripping new novel

Anthony Carragher's new book will be published by The Book Guild

IN COUNTY Clare, a successful architect sees her carefully constructed life turn on its head when a malevolent stranger arrives at her lighthouse seeking revenge.

That is the story told by Limerick author Anthony Carragher through The Dying Time.

The Dying Time narrates the story of architect Kate O’Connor, who appears to have it all - a lighthouse home, a successful politician husband and an eight-year-old daughter. Yet, everything is not as it seems.

As a snowstorm approaches, so does a menacing stranger whose presence will change everything. A haunted man, driven by destiny, set to wreak havoc on Kate’s carefully constructed life.

Over the course of twenty-four hours, as intersecting paths tragically entwine, Kate discovers that everything she holds dear is in peril.

Isolated by the unrelenting storm, in a desperate race against time, Kate and her family face a battle of wits with the highest stakes. Their lives.

“I’m fascinated by the mystery of time. Is the past, present and future already mapped out? Have we power over the lives we live or are our fates predetermined? How do we react when unexpected events capsize our world and threaten our very existence? I explore these ideas in my novel, the psychological thriller The Dying Time,” said the author.

Anthony was an investment professional for over twenty years, he now devotes himself full-time to writing.

His bestselling sports book 'Lost?' received critical acclaim. The Dying Time is his debut novel, which will be published on February 28.
